In a world overflowing with digital distractions, it’s easy to feel distant from ourselves and those we care about most.

I started writing this essay around Ayla’s first birthday and completed it on Mother’s Day. It is an ode to womanhood and motherhood and I hope you find comfort in the perspective I share.
